Me too. If we were somehow adding Kemba and keeping Horford I'd feel this was a straight upgrade, in practical terms.
I got downvoted at one point in like March for saying I'd gladly trade Kyrie for a worse player who was a better fit for us. Subsequent events have firmly reinforced that opinion.
As it is, given Horford's also leaving, I don't see this returning us to the "top tier Eastern Conference team" status we had two years ago and last summer, but it's still a nice balm for the wounds if it happens.

I mean, he is. Relative to his skill level, he gets way less media coverage because the Hornets aren't good and don't make the post season. Yet he's been the consummate teammate and continues to grind for his team instead of publicly making comments about leaving or throwing his teammates under the bus.

Gotcha. Yeah, it's crazy how time flies, but he's 29 and has been in the league 8 full seasons now. Yet, it still doesn't seem so long ago that he led that UConn team to the ship.
